Genesis 8:1 — One Breath From God Changes Everything
The same Spirit who moved over the waters in Genesis 1 moved over them again in Genesis 8. The Hebrew word for wind, Ruach, is the same word for Spirit and breath — the very breath that gave life to the first man still gives life, hope, and new beginnings to us all.

One Breath From God Changes Everything
- The Hebrew word for “wind” is Ruach (רוח) — the same word used for Spirit and breath.
- It ended because God breathed.
- The same Spirit who moved over the waters in Genesis 1 now moved over the waters again in Genesis 8, beginning a new creation after judgment.
From one breath, all of humanity was born.
The same Breath that gave life to the first man gives life, hope and new beginnings to us all. We all live because of the same breath from God.
