Lamentations 3 — New Mercies Every Morning
In the midst of ruin, God's mercy never runs out. His compassions are new every morning.
“It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”
— Lamentations 3:22-23
Lamentations was written by Jeremiah after the destruction of Jerusalem. It is a book of sorrow and honest lament — yet chapter 3 shines with a powerful declaration of hope: God's mercy never runs out.
You may not know what today holds, but you can know Who holds today.
The Heart of Lamentations 3
- New mercies — God's mercy is not recycled; it is fresh, personal and daily.
- Great compassion — God's heart is full of compassion even when we fail.
- Unfailing love — His faithfulness rests on His nature, not our performance.
- Hope in the dark — Even in the darkest seasons, His mercies give us strength to keep going.
