Praying together as a family builds faith that lasts for generations. It does not need to be long or polished — it needs to be real and regular.
Simple ways to begin
- ✦Pray a short blessing over meals together.
- ✦Pray at bedtime — thank God for the day and pray for one another.
- ✦Keep a family prayer list on the fridge and celebrate answered prayers.
- ✦Let each person share one thing to thank God for and one thing to ask Him for.
Make it welcoming
Let children pray in their own words. Keep it warm, not forced. The goal is not perfect prayers but a home where talking to God is normal and joyful.
“As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
Joshua 24:15
A prayer to pray
Father, make our home a place of prayer. Draw each of us closer to You and to one another. May our children know You and love You all their days. Amen.
